RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and test real-time vessel control software covering dynamic positioning (DP),autopilot, remote-control and autonomy.
- Integrate propulsion units, power systems, sensors and reference systems into a unified controlplatform.
- Develop and maintain Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulators tovalidate control system performance and fault-handling.
WANTED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with technologies such as:
– Git, C++, C#, WPF, Zephyr, Python, Go.
– Industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN bus, UDP) - Education in cybernetics, control systems, computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- (relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
- Experience with marine application design, industry standards, and type approval processes is advantageous.

The position is full-time and based at our MT office in Egersund (Norway) or in Mandeville (Louisiana).
Some domestic and international travel may be required.
